I love when unconventional materials are used to make furniture, such as lava in this case. The photos in this article correspond to the Natura Fossilium collection of Formafantasma which is made with cooled lava from an eruption of Etna, in Sicily, in 2013.
The basaltic rocks resulting from lava cooling they have been carved in geometric shapes and have joined with bronze pieces to give rise to this curious collection that includes tables and stools. Call me a geek, but I would love to have a table coming out of a volcano at home.
Obviously it is not something to combine at home with other furniture, because we will not have everything made with lava or anything similar, but yes to create contrasts. I personally believe that I would place this set of table and seats in an area completely decorated in white to give them all the prominence.
