Last week I was on vacation in Paris, some of you may have seen some of the photos on my social networks, but most of I have reserved the images of the hotel for Decoesfera. I also tell you a good part of my experiences of these days in Trendencias Lifestyle, but here we are interested in decoration, so let's focus on accommodation.
On the recommendation of Viola de Lesseps, Poprosa's partner, the hotel chosen was the Maxim Folies. Well located in the 9th district, Opera area, with a good price and very stylish in terms of decoration. It has several types of rooms, but I confess that I took one of the cheapest to adjust budget ... The room was small but very well decorated and the hotel is full of trend details. Let's see it!
We start by the entrance. The hotel facade is simple but the black color makes it very elegant, the Folies Bergere at the bottom of the street helps a lot to fill the whole with charm, that is so, and the bikes to rent right at the door are also a hoot. That is, everything helps you to enter the hotel with a good predisposition so that everything you like.
The reception is not very big but it has several very different environments. He Counter is decorated in the background with shapes and mirrors, the lighting is perfect with the light bulbs in sight and there is a huge Mac for customers to use and enjoy with a 24-hour internet connection.
What is most surprising on the ground floor are without a doubt the swing chairs. They give the space a lot of personality and put a color note with their cushions. I already knew them, or the same or very similar I had seen them in several catalogs, but I had never tried them and I have to say they are super comfortable. Maybe even too comfortable that you feel and do not feel like getting up.
There's also sewing mannequins They make an excellent nod to the close union that the city of Paris has with fashion, another detail that I loved.
The reception bathrooms are in the basement, getting there is a decorative adventure because the building is very old and part of the stone walls are visible, with arches included ... The bad thing is that the spiral staircase is somewhat narrow and did not give me a good perspective to portray them.
But even the staircase itself has its charm because although it is lined with black carpet, it shows when you step on the old wood below and you feel the history of the building under your feet. The mirrors in the bathroom area They are a good example of pampering and the style with which everything is decorated.
And I'm still missing the breakfast area, which is decorated with eames chairs and natural wood tables and it has the letters of Petit Dejeuner (breakfast in French) in the background, in abbreviation and with a beautiful design. The last photo is not decorative, but interesting if you are thinking of staying at this hotel. The breakfast buffet is always something that is appreciated on trips.
I have no photos of the room, because I was not quick to take them when I arrived and then with all the clothes, bags, shopping and others there ... as I was not to see. But I tell you that although It was small, it was very trendy; with full bathroom, the sink with a few spotlights, and the shelves and hangers for the clothes in sight without doors, wide and comfortable beds and the high and very stylish headboard.
Summing up that the Maxim Folies hotel I totally recommend it if you are going to travel to Paris for its value for money, because it is well located and has a lot of style and because my experience of accommodation in it for six days was very pleasant.
