It is time to pack, and enjoy a getaway to Barcelona to discover the Motel One Barcelona.
The hotel, opened in the first quarter of the year, is the first hotel that the German chain opens in Spain. And he does it with a proposal full of design and beautiful things.
Inspired by the nearby Ciutadella de Barcelona, this hotel combines nature with traditional Spanish architecture and designer furniture made in Catalonia.
At the reception, we already find a unique space full of personality, with its characteristic handmade decorative tiles, or comfortable (and beautiful) armchairs created by the designer Patricia Urquiola, not forgetting the carpets of Nanimarquina. There too, the Barcelona illustrator Lara Costafreda, has designed the mural behind the reception desk using watercolor techniques.
Nor can we fail to mention the hanging lamps of the house Bocci with around 100 colored glass balloons that remind us so much of bouquets, or the Spanish natural stone floor to give it a more rustic air.
In the rooms, the same philosophy that combines comfort and design. Nice rooms full of life. In them, the allusion to plants, nature and jungle stands out. Lara Costafreda He has performed in precious papers for the headboards.
In the rooms, guests can also find furniture and accessories such as the Freifrau leather armchair, the Artemide floor lamp or a green marble table from B&B Italia. All designed to create the perfect environment to relax or to work.
And finally, in addition to the panoramic terrace overlooking the rooftops of Barcelona, we must also highlight the bar. Inspired by the industrial style of the typical architecture of the markets, the bar of this hotel has black and white decorative tiles.
In this space, also especially highlight the installation of the artist Anaïs Senli to create a connection with the Ciutadella park.
